Well, for a number of reasons BigDog is historically significant to Wichita.

One reason is that BigDog has become a fairly successful manufacturer of custom motorcycles located in Wichita and provides a large number of jobs.

Another reason is that BigDog Motorcycles was founded and is owned by Sheldon Coleman Jr. son of the last Coleman family manager of the Coleman Company in Wichita.

Also the BigDog showroom and plant facilities are located on a rather historical location for Wichita Car Guys, the old Quality Chevrolet Co. at the corner of Hydraulic and Douglas Streets.

Part of the significance of the Quality Chevrolet parking lot, to Car Guys, is that it was a desirable location for meeting up and seeing and being seen as part of the Wichita tradition of Dragging Douglas.
